HomeAid Georgia & Meritage Homes Complete Administration, Education and Health Center for Gigi's House

The building expands capacity to serve more teenage girls escaping human trafficking

Atlanta – July 22, 2025 - HomeAid Georgia, Meritage Homes of Georgia, and Gigi’s House celebrated the completed construction of an Administrative, Education, and Health Center on July 14. Located on Gigi’s House campus in Clayton County, the new building is a vital addition to help teenage girls escaping human trafficking have a dedicated space to meet with counselors, receive medical care, attend school, and learn new trades. Gigi’s House has served nearly 300 girls ages 13-19 escaping human trafficking since 2018.

The completion of the 10,000 square foot Administration, Education, and Health Center was made possible through the leadership and dedication of Meritage Homes of Georgia, who volunteered to lead the construction project as the HomeAid Builder Captains. With their guidance, the project reached completion, driven by the generosity of Meritage Homes of Georgia and numerous trade partners. Collectively, approximately $500,000 in labor and materials were donated, allowing Gigi’s House to better serve the girls in their program. This crucial support enables the organization to provide a safe and supportive environment, along with the critical resources necessary to help each teenage girl build a brighter, more successful future.

Sabrina Crawford, Founder of Gigi’s House, expressed, “The new Administrative, Education, and Health Center allows the girls to receive the therapeutic and educational services they need onsite, thanks to HomeAid Georgia, Meritage Homes, and their trade partners. Having this ability makes a world of difference, and we can accommodate so many more of our residents, safely and privately, right here on campus.”
