HomeAid Georgia & Taylor Morrison Complete Administrative and Reception Center for North Georgia Angel House
Increasing the safety for teenage girls in foster care
Atlanta – July 23, 2025 - HomeAid Georgia, Taylor Morrison, and North Georgia Angel House (NGAH) proudly celebrated the completion of a new Administrative and Reception Center on July 18. The project included demolition of the existing structure and the construction of a new welcoming center located at the front entrance of NGAH’s campus. The new space offers designated areas for family visitation, donations, and staff offices. NGAH provides shelter, life skills, educational assistance, and clinical services to give youth in and transitioning out of the foster care system the best shot at a successful future. Since 2006, more than 1,800 girls between the ages of 12 -21 have called NGAH home.
The completion of the Administrative and Reception Center was made possible through the leadership and dedication of Eric Wacaster, Construction Project Manager for Taylor Morrison, who volunteered to lead the demolition and construction project as the HomeAid Builder Captain. Under Wacaster’s leadership, the project was brought to life through the combined efforts of Taylor Morrison and numerous trade partners. Collectively, approximately $100,000 in labor and materials were donated, improving both the safety and security of NGAH’s campus by creating a welcoming point of entry that remains separate from residential quarters.
"It has been a joy to be the HomeAid Builder Captain on this project and take this old, dilapidated house that was falling in and be able to turn it into a reception center that North Georgia Angel House will be able to utilize for their reception area for visitors, the girls, and donations. I live in this community, so to be able to partner up with my employer, Taylor Morrison, and HomeAid to give back to NGAH has been quite a special thing,” said HomeAid Builder Captain, Eric Wacaster.
