Toll Brothers Joins HomeAid at The Drake House

Home builders make improvements at Roswell campus for women overcoming homelessness on April 11.

Atlanta – April 30, 2025 – National home builder Toll Brothers joined building industry nonprofit HomeAid Georgia for a Care Day at The Drake House on April 11. HomeAid Care Days provide free-of-charge maintenance for nonprofits that provide housing and programs for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Fourteen Toll Brothers volunteers completed demolition, painting, pressure washing, and landscaping tasks throughout The Drake House’s Roswell campus that provides safe housing and programs for women with children overcoming homelessness. Toll Brothers went above and beyond the original scope of the planned Care Day, purchasing and placing mulch on the children’s playground.  The hard work of volunteers provided over $3,100 in savings for The Drake House.

The savings provided by HomeAid Care Days like this one can be used to provide services and more for people like Angela, a graduate of The Drake House. Angela, a mother of five, relocated to Georgia to help her disabled mother. Living with her sister and her three children proved too crowded and difficult for the two large families. As an LPN, Angela had job skills, but her Michigan license was not yet valid in Georgia. With no other family and no friends in Atlanta, she turned to The Drake House for help. There she found a safe place for her children and programs to help her land on her feet, and her children got help with social anxiety and learned financial awareness. Upon leaving The Drake House, Angela was able to purchase a home after working to improve her credit.

Since 2006, HomeAid has completed ten Care Days at The Drake House as well as four major construction projects, including The Drake House’s original apartments that provided the first-ever emergency housing for women with children in north Fulton County.

This was Toll Brothers’ fourth Care Day locally with HomeAid Georgia. At the national level, Toll Brothers has pledged support for HomeAid affiliates nationwide. Toll Brothers 31st Annual Gala to be held on May 9 in Philadelphia “promises to be an incredible evening celebrating HomeAid and their mission to help those who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.” All funds raised will support HomeAid.

HomeAid Georgia is a nonprofit organization founded in 2001 as HomeAid Atlanta with a mission to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education. HomeAid builds, renovates, and maintains facilities for nonprofits serving people experiencing homelessness. HomeAid has completed over 200 construction projects at locations for victims of domestic violence, teen mothers, veterans and more, utilizing connections with building industry professionals and community organizations.
