HomeAid Georgia Celebrates Rainbow Village’s Community Center Renovation

Expanding Educational Opportunities for Families as Rainbow Village Grows Its Campus

ATLANTA, GA (October 28, 2026) – On Friday, October 23, HomeAid Georgia joined Builder Captain Varium Construction Group and its trade partners to celebrate the completion of Rainbow Village’s Community Center Renovation Project. The renovation transformed a former daycare space into an Adult Learning Center, creating new opportunities for families as Rainbow Village expands its campus capacity from 30 to 66 families with the addition of new apartment buildings.

Thanks to the generosity of Varium Construction Group and its trade partners, Rainbow Village saved $50,000 on a total construction value of $59,000 through donated labor and materials. Participating trade partners include:

  • All South Electrical Constructors

  • Atlas Demolition

  • Gill Plumbing Company

  • NOCO Contracting

  • Sherwin-Williams

HomeAid Georgia and Rainbow Village's first construction project together in 2014 added 36 beds valued at $650,000, saving Rainbow Village $303,000 in construction costs. Since then, HomeAid Georgia has also completed four Care Days at Rainbow Village, providing $61,800 in project value and saving the nonprofit $58,350 in minor maintenance and repair costs.

“The renovation of our Community Center is an exciting step forward in expanding the opportunities and resources available to the families we serve,” said Melanie Conner, CEO of Rainbow Village. “Our new Adult Learning Center will provide a dedicated space for families to build skills, pursue personal growth and work toward long-term stability and independence. We are incredibly grateful to HomeAid Georgia, Varium Construction Group and their generous trade partners for making this transformation possible.”
