HomeAid Georgia and Taylor Morrison Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of “A Place to Grow” at Breakthru House
Doubling recovery housing for single moms and women overcoming addiction
ATLANTA, GA (April 29, 2026) - HomeAid Georgia joined Taylor Morrison, partners, and community supporters on April 23 to celebrate the ribbon cutting of A Place to Grow at Breakthru House. The transformative expansion features two newly constructed 6,000-square-foot recovery residences, adding 24 beds for single mothers and women working to overcome addiction.
HomeAid Georgia’s mission is rooted in building and maintaining housing for nonprofit partners in a way that reduces construction costs, allowing those organizations to direct more resources toward life-changing programs and services. A Place to Grow is a powerful example of that mission in action.
HomeAid Builder Captain JJ Murray expressed, “This project reminded our team why we do what we do. It wasn’t just about building homes—it was about creating a place where women and their children can rebuild their lives. Taylor Morrison is proud to help create that kind of hope and opportunity.”
Through the generosity of trade partners who donated or significantly discounted labor and materials, the project has already achieved $623,000 in savings, with more savings anticipated. These efforts not only enhanced the project’s value but will have a lasting impact on the women and children who will call these homes their own.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of HomeAid Georgia, Taylor Morrison, and their dedicated trade partners,” said BreNita Jackson, Executive Director of Breakthru House. “We can double the number of individuals we serve while creating a true home environment that directly supports the treatment we provide. These two new homes will make it possible for women to enter treatment while maintaining care and custody of their children.”
For Breakthru House, the project represents more than additional housing—it fulfills a long-standing vision to broaden its impact and reach more women and their children in need. HomeAid Georgia extends its sincere appreciation to Taylor Morrison and their 41 trade partners whose contributions helped bring this project to life.
