HomeAid Georgia’s 25th Annual Essentials Drive
Presented by Precision Stoneworks
Essentials Drive, Reimagined
In celebration of HomeAid Georgia’s 25th Anniversary, the Annual Essentials Drive evolved to increase its impact in support of families in need across our community. For the first time in the drive’s history, 27 Essentials Fundraising Teams came together to raise over $66,000 for HomeAid Georgia to purchase baby essential items, adult underwear, and feminine hygiene products through a wholesale distributor.
A special thank you to the top three Essentials Fundraising Teams:
Affinity Bank $9,015
Denim Marketing $7,164
Northview Church $6,244
Distribution Day
Our impact came to life at our first-ever Distribution Day. A semi-truck delivered over 509,000 items to the HomeAid Georgia parking lot on May 8, 2026. A group of 50 volunteers from various companies worked together to unpack pallets of essential items, staff dedicated distribution stations and load non-profit service providers’ vehicles as they drove through each station.
Essential items were distributed to 41 non-profit partners across the state of Georgia including 17 new Essentials Drive recipients and three new service locations in South Georgia and four new service locations in the Augusta area.

Why the Essentials Drive?
“Access to essential items may seem small to some, but for the families we serve, it can be the difference between stress and stability. The Essentials Drive helps restore dignity, strengthen families, and remind our community that they are not alone.”
“This support not only eases the financial burden that comes with baby supplies—often a significant strain on low-income households—but also plays a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of their children. Each diaper delivered represents a commitment to the well-being of our youngest community members and a step toward building a healthier, more resilient community for everyone.”
“For many of the individuals we serve, these essentials are not conveniences—they are critical to daily survival. This drive helps turn hardship into hope and isolation into community support.”
“The Essentials Drive provides not only relief, but also a sense of dignity and hope during a very difficult time for families experiencing sudden homelessness due to a loss of income.
It helps bridge the gap for our families by providing basic necessities, allowing them to focus on rebuilding their lives and moving toward long-term stability.”
“The HomeAid Essentials Drive has significantly strengthened Serenade Heights ability to serve women and children in need. Through the generous donations received from the drive, we are able to meet immediate needs for our resource room that is shopped by the single moms in our program at no cost to them. This support not only eases financial burdens for those that we serve but it helps single mother families move towards lasting independence.”
